The members of Bangladesh cricket team are all set for their tour to New Zealand. However, the team have set themselves up a training camp in Australia before travelling to Kiwi land for the official tour. They will be playing 2 T20s against Sydney Sixers. It is an opportunity for the players to get used to the conditions and prove their worth to the team management.
Earlier, the captain of Bangladesh, Mashrafe Mortaza, mentioned that his team is up for a challenge in foreign conditions. Bangladesh had outplayed the Kiwis in the past at home but doing the same at New Zealand will surely be a challenge. Saying that the team have done exceptionally well during the World Cup. The coach would surely remind the players about their performance in the World Cup – something to boost the confidence of the players. Mashrafe also spoke highly about the training camp that’s been held in Australia. A similar sort of training camp was held before the world cup back in Bangladesh which helped the team in the first round. The camp in Australia will surely aid the team.
Bangladesh will play 3 ODI first, followed by 3 T20s and then 2 Test match. A bit of weird combination to have the T20s in between the ODIs and Test. Anyway, it is good to see the tigers back in action in the international arena. Hope to see some good cricket in the coming months and show the world how much have we progressed. We have shown it at home now time to do the same away.
Come on Bangladesh!
